OEC is seeking an administrative assistant to work with the Office Manager, Executive Director, and other program staff to manage administrative tasks and strengthen the capacity of the organization.

Crew Leader (Part Time & Seasonal):
The Crew Leader is a field position that directly supervises a small crew of program participants and is key to OEC’s community based tree planting, green infrastructure, and natural areas restoration programs’ success. The Crew Leader will lead and work with youth and young adult crewmembers responsible for community outreach, identifying planting sites, tree planting, watering and caring for trees, natural areas management, and maintenance of green infrastructure installations.

Foreman (Full Time):
The responsibilities of the Foreman is to assist management with program implementation and logistical support for field programs, which includes community based tree planting, green infrastructure maintenance and management, natural areas management, and other special programs. The Foreman will be assigned to facilitate project work by coordinating with a small team of staff (program specialist, personal development team leader, program coordinator) to assist and oversee the work of crew leaders and members (ages 15-25).
Program Assistant (Part Time):
OEC is seeking a program assistant to work with the Youth Program Coordinator and Young Adult Program Coordinator, and other program staff to manage administrative, and programmatic tasks and strengthen the capacity of the organization. The Program Assistant will be under the direct supervision of the Youth and Young Adult Program Coordinators.

The Program Coordinator performs many roles and is key to smooth planning and implementation of OEC’s Young Adult programs, which include youth development, AmeriCorps, community based tree planting, green infrastructure and other special programs. The Program Coordinator works with a team of staff (program specialists, executive director, office manager, personal development team leader & crew leaders) and crew members (ages 15-25) responsible for various community outreach projects, community tree planting, watering and caring for trees, and maintenance of natural areas and green infrastructure installations. Crewmembers are recruited as part of a larger team that works on multiple OEC projects (see Conservation Crew Member position for details). The position is multi‐faceted and demanding, but with opportunities for rewarding achievements, and valuable professional and career growth.

The Personal Development Team Leader (PDTL) performs many roles and is integral to OEC’s community‐based youth program’s success. The Team Leader will lead a team of staff that directly oversee the Young Adult Program for participants ages 19‐25. The Team Leader will be the primary planner and direct supervisor for the Young Adult Program Personal Development Program. The Team Leader will coordinate with other OEC Staff, partner organizations, community leaders and other guest speakers to refine the program curriculum and plan for Personal Development programming. The Team Leader will also act as a case manager and meet regularly with young adult participants to identify barriers, develop goals, and build resources to ensure that participants are successful during and after graduating the OEC program.

OEC is seeking an office manager to work with the Executive Director and program staff to manage administrative tasks and strengthen the capacity of the organization. Lead the overall smooth operations of office tasks
Youth Program Coordinator (Full Time with Benefits):
The Youth Program Coordinator performs many roles and is integral to OEC’s community‐based youth program’s success. The coordinator will lead and work with a team of youth (ages 15‐18) and will be responsible for the coordination and leadership of the field and education components of OEC’s youth program. The coordinator must be willing to work during hours that high school youth are available. The coordinator will be expected to work after school on weekdays as well as on weekends during the school year programs. This position involves, but is not limited to, leading and managing litter pickup efforts, tree planting, and landscaping maintenance crews in weeding/raking, taking air quality samples, mulching gardens and conducting community outreach. The youth are recruited as part of a larger team that works on multiple OEC projects (see Youth Conservation Crew Member position for details). This supervisory position is multifaceted and demanding, but comes with rewarding achievements, valuable professional growth, and career growth opportunities.

Workforce Foreman and Trainer (Full Time):
The Workforce Foreman & Trainer (WFT) will be the lead project foreman and instructor for OEC’s Advanced Young Adult Program (AYA). The AYA Program is a workforce track program for OEC participants with multiple seasons of experience that are interested in pursuing a career in urban forestry, landscaping, or other green industry careers. The WFT will work with the Green Industry Pathways Coordinator and other team members to refine and align existing curriculum with input from industry partners. The WFT will teach the AYA curriculum to OEC participants and arrange field based opportunities that give participants the experience necessary to secure employment in the industry and that increases their earning potential (chainsaw, equipment operating, climbing, rigging, plant ID, GIS, etc.) and potential for career advancement.
